The POPSUGAR Must Have Box monthly subscription box is a lifestyle box filled with monthly must-haves selected by the POPSUGAR editors ranging from personal care to fitness to accessories to home and luxury items and interesting edible treats. A great variety box that you can inhale all at once or dole out to yourself (or to others!) as the month goes by.

If you sign up with this link and use the code REFERFRIENDS by the end of February you’ll get $5 off your first box or subscription.

My Pop Sugar box didn’t get here until the evening of February 14. Fortunately it wasn’t really Valentine’s Day themed and I have children young enough that they are still immune to the taste of Conversation Hearts. (Yep, gone already!) The theme is “Love is in the air,” with items to spoil yourself with.

What’s inside February POPSUGAR Must Have Box

Connoisseurs Jewelry Cleansing Gel: $7.92. Yay! I totally needed jewelry cleaner. This will be perfect. It says it is soft on your hands, which is a bonus. Keep this away from kids – mine attempted to brush their teeth with it. Like immediately.

Hanky Panky Lace Original Rise Thong: In Capri (lime green). $20. For me, a negatory. Bestie, welcome to your new thong. I may actually use the included coupon to get some lace panties with more coverage though (and snag the free Zoya nail polish coupon!). I will need new undies soon – mine are all bagalicious – but I just can’t do a thong. I have a huge butt and just no but I do hear they are wonderful. I love this idea but wish it had been for a voucher to redeem it separately. Lace panties cost nothing to ship.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush: $8.99. As in crushed berries/grapes. It is the perfect color for me and I love it. It has a hint of mint. I’m really liking the gloss/lipstick/not quite either that I am seeing a lot of lately. This is wonderful.

Brokedown Spa Wrap: $84 (but really…) The one included in the box does not have the ribbon or trim. I think it was a little disingenuous to suggest that they are launching this exact product by including it in the box. On the upside it’s made out of minky dot fabric (and the first picture on that page. No. Just No.). For non-moms out there, that’s what it’s called. Minky dots. It is sooo soft and furry and does hold up well.

Also…. Brokedown must have confused their sizing, because this is made for a ten year old. On top of the wrap below is a towel wrap recently sent to my daughter in little girl’s size 7/8. Since the Brokedown wrap is a little bigger (really only a leetle teeny bit), I have decided it was made for a ten year old. There is no way it would cover my important bits.IMG_4633

So, obviously it didn’t fit me, but we found a good home for it.

obviously the box met the theme because my husband loves me very very much – he knows i am posting this on my blog!

Yes, my husband is really taking it back with him. HE LOVED IT. He promises not to wear the gap in the front.

Safe Haven Book: $7.27 + free song download. Nicholas Sparks. Love him or hate him, I will not discuss further. I believe my copy is getting transported to MIL. I only read books on my Kindle app on my iPhone. I commute so I read a TON but I don’t like dragging books around with me and I don’t like the feel of paperback pages. I will probably watch this movie rather than read the book. My personal preference is not to get books in a box because I can check them out of the public library from the comfort of my home and zap them straight to my phone – for free. But I know not everyone is so lucky, so I won’t complain.

MarieBelle Chocolates Tresor Box: Mine is the cacao nib version. No direct link but Google has the page cached. It’s all I could find. $12. These were so dark I thought they were coffee at first. I’m saving these for moi when I need a chocolate shot. One little pebble is perfect for me. Sue me for not being a 100% perfect dieter. The box indicates they are from Japan. They are beautiful but they are MINE.

Sweethearts Conversation Hearts: 53¢. My kids enjoyed these and it was a cute addition to this great box. Something cheap that the kids could rip into without disturbing my chocolate.

Should you Splurge?

The Must Have Boxes get a lot of grief but this was a great box! The biggest misses were the sized items. I think Pop Sugar needs to do some polling/surveying of its customers to find out if indeed they are all size 2 (or actual ten year olds). I’m guessing they aren’t because I haven’t seen one person that has actually said the robe fits them. Still, it’s a great box. I don’t know about the spoil yourself theme, because what else is the point of 90% of subscription boxes? Aren’t we buying these to give ourselves crazy little surprise treats? I’m spoiled already! I think it met the theme reasonably well.

What did you think about this month’s box? What are you doing with your robe?
