I was so excited to get this, but I wanted to give the special edition the love that it deserved! It’s Love With Food‘s Weird, Wild & Wonderful Foods themed subscription box in partnership with Andrew Zimmern! This box was ridiculously full, it wouldn’t properly close! This is a cute little tasting box and you can read my previous posts about Love With Food to find out more about LWF subscriptions.

What was in the April Love with Food Box?

I really like how the Love With Food information card has all the information we need in just a few bites!20130526-235315.jpg

Mini Pops: Air Popped Sorghum Grain – So interesting and I had never heard of these before! Tasty! Featured in O magazine20130526-235403.jpg
JJ’s Sweets: Original and Sea Salt Cocomels – Vegan caramels! I have a feeling that these are going to be a staple candy for quite a few people very soon. They also appeared in my April Juniper box!20130526-235322.jpg
Pollen Ranch: Original Fennel Pollen – I really enjoyed sprinkling this over fresh veggies. Simple and perfect. Would also be amazecakes over a nice succulent roast. Or any meat or vegetable. This is Organic & wild, and quite expensive stuff! I also squished it into some fresh goat cheese and it was stupidly delicious.

Oloves: Lemony Lover Olives – I love olives! I love gourmet olives! This was a real treat. Only 50 calories a pouch! I don’t know that I would buy single serving pouches for myself, but for a gift basket or party (wedding) favor, it would be pretty snazzy.20130526-235346.jpg
Somersault Snacks: Salty Pepper Nuggets – I had never heard of these! Made with sunflower seeds they are round little crackers. Very unique snack!20130526-235341.jpg
Buff Lo Dip: Creamy Buffalo Ranch Dip20130526-235325.jpg
The Good Bean: Smoky Chili & Lime Chickpea Snacks – Roasted chickpeas. I tried making these myself once (Pinterest fail!) but these were really tasty.20130526-235416.jpg

Should you splurge?

Oh man, I was so thrilled there was nothing TOO weird in here, although I could have gone for some wackier stuff too. However, it speaks of Love With Food‘s accessibility while still being a unique yummy box. I put this box in the category of must try. Subscriptions start at $12 for just one box. I’m thinking that coupon code FBGIFT is working for a free box (pay $2 shipping)! If you use my Love With Food link I thank you! Heck, thanks for just coming by to take a browse!
