I was frankly delighted that Flicker Box had an awesome Black Friday deal and this is one of the few boxes I bought that day! Flicker Box is a subscription candle box and I loved the idea of making my in-laws house my home for Christmas. I’m here a lot because my husband’s job is here and I’m trying to not be bummed out that I’m not home with my family for the second year in a row and just basically taking over! Last year I nearly had a meltdown because they have (and can you believe this) no Christmas traditions whatsoever. Me & my family are all about Christmas! But I digress. Candles! I love candles and I think they are perfect for brightening up a space and adding an extra sensory layer to your environment.

December 2013 Flicker Box Review
I love the idea of a story card instead of an information card, I think that’s sweet. I’m not sure what scent the Mosley Lane candle ($2.50) is except that it’s nice. There’s a jillion scents on their website. My box also had an actual candy cane, which was whisked away quickly by the children.
One Love Candle & Bath Candy Cane Jar Candle ($11) This smells just like a candy cane! It’s that certain smell of sugary peppermint and smells really delicious. This is a 100% US sourced candle and 100% soy with an 80+ hour burn time.
Brooklyn Candle Warm Apple Pie Jar Candle ($16) Gorgeous & delicious. I love the looks of this one and it found its way to the basement (my room) along with the matches included in the box.
Wax Works Mistletoe Tea Lights ($3) The scent on these is amazing! The description says “These tea lights are are hand poured. Made with all natural soy wax and cotton wicks. This candle is made with highly scented Fragrance Oils.” And yes, that would be true. You can smell these a mile a way – no need to burn them to smell them! We will use these and pretend we don’t have a fake tree!
I think Flicker Box is a great way to get your candle fix! I love that everything is artisan crafted with great attention to detail and ingredients. I will subscribe again sometime soon! The value of this box is $32.50, which is a slight bit more than the monthly box costs on a per month basis. You can lower that significantly with a long term subscription. I also really love the idea of not making your candles precious and actually using them. You know what I mean. I always save them instead of enjoying them.

Love the candles from One Love Candle and Bath…they are totally natural and smell so FRESH, both unlit and lit…pretty awesome line of soaps & Shea Butter lotions, too. The subscription is a great idea!!!
I haven’t lit mine, but I am still huffing it. I have issues 🙂 My MIL wanted me to give it to the mail lady, and I’m like, NO, I think I’ll buy her a case of Honest, I can’t give up this candle!
