December 2013 GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box Review

I was totally intrigued as to what was in this huge but relatively lightweight box!

My helpers couldn’t wait to get their hands on some birthday gifts, so we decided to open this box!

A basket! It’s pretty large and really filled the box. I loved the gold paper.

GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box tells the stories of the producers of each item in your box. All my producers were from Mexico. I’m not sure if this was on purpose (like a theme), or just happenstance.

Every producer had their own story.

Earrings
Earrings

Glass Earrings by Paulina Sanchez Hernandez – These are so gorgeous and no two pairs are alike. Purple is my color and I am wearing these today!

Candle
Candle

Luz de Luna Group Orange Peel Flower Candle – This is such a unique item! The case is made from an orange peel, and the scent is intense. The artisans remove all the orange innards and turn it over on a candle. And yes, the bottom of the candle has a navel! So unique and beautiful. Luz de Luna means light of the moon, which is a great name for a candle company.

Coasters
Coasters

Embroidered Textile Coasters by Sandra and Abel – this couple formed  Casa Otomi, which translates to “house of embroidery.” These are funky, fun, and bold coasters!

Basket
Basket

Profiria and Margarita Decorative Basket – Profiria and Margarita are members of Oaxaca’s basket weaving community and practice petate, an intricate and ancient weaving pattern. I am amazed at the work that went into the creation of this basket!

Pouch
Pouch

Profiria and Margarita Woven Pouch – This is too cute and I think that it will be a home for one of the kid’s special treasures. I thought it was great to have a portable version of this craft!

GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box is a delightful and budget-friendly way to discover new international artisan goods! I particularly love that you can select the type of goods in your box! I think it’s a wonderful feature. The GlobeIn packaging was beautiful and each item was beautifully hand-crafted! If you want to subscribe or discover new artists, visit GlobeIn!
