January 2014 Love With Food Regular vs. Deluxe Box Review + $10 Coupon

I picked up both Love with Food boxes this month for another look at the differences between the two! This month’s theme is Wake Up to the New Year! and we are “Snacking Smart, Doing Good” this year! Remember with every box you purchase you donate one meal to a child in need (two meals for the Deluxe box). This is a great sampling subscription box and I love that they give back!

January 2014 Love With Food Review – Deluxe Box

The Deluxe Box! There are more items and more of them than the Classic Box.

The regular box is still pretty awesome! Anything that is Deluxe Box only I’ll put a star next to!

Bare Fruit Apple Chips* My kids love these and the cinnamon kind are my favorite ones!

Breakfast Cookie Rise & Shine * Has coffee in it. NO THANKS! It actually looked amazing until I saw it had coffee.

Caffe Borsa Columbia Supremo Cute idea, but not for me! This would be great for travel.

Oskri Cranberries I think Oskri are the folks who had that amazing apricot & yogurt bar from a couple months ago. (nope, it was Eat Natural) I should have bought a case in the shop.

Oski Orange Bar (2 in deluxe box) Vegan & 100% fruit. I love the “Just” bars (that are just fruit) and I bet I will love this too!

Home Free Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies Totally delicious. There was accidentally 3 in my Deluxe box and the skinny minis were missing. You wouldn’t know these were gluten free or anything. Great for lunchboxes!

Lovely Super Fruit Chews They are kind of like Starbust, and honestly, I prefer the regular candy! These weren’t a miss for me, but I wouldn’t buy them. There were 2 candies in my regular box and a whole bag in my Deluxe.

Jer’s Squares Pretzo Change-O and Original Milk Chocolate 2 each in the Deluxe, 1 each in the regular. I like mine after they’ve been in the freezer for a bit. I’m trying to resist buying these.

Annie’s Homegrown Organic Berry Berry Granola Bar One in each box. I’m saving these for E’s lunchbox.

Blue Diamond Lightly Salted Almonds Double in the Deluxe box. I love lightly salted nuts and was psyched to get these for my backpack!

Mama’s Magic Mix Banana Split Baby Mama Drama This was in both boxes, but there was a production issue and was missing from my Deluxe Box. I got Dang chips instead. I don’t know how I feel about this yet.

Mama’s Magic Mix substitute. I love Dang chips and will never complain about getting more. There was an issue with this box shipping late and I’m guessing that Mama’s Magic couldn’t get everything they needed to fulfill the order because of all those crazy shipping delays.

Hi I’m Skinny Multi-Grain Sea Salt Sticks 13 grams of whole grains per bag! This was missing from my deluxe box. As awesome as these are, I’m not complaining that I got extra cookies. Nope, not at all.

I’m chalking the couple mixups to a one time mixup. I have actually never seen an error with Love with Food – not in my boxes and not in anyone else’s! I loved all my snacks and I’m totally psyched to get the Deluxe every month. With me plus the two kids, we sort of need the big box. I do like adding the variety to our family’s snacks and everything in the boxes is mostly healthy. I’m hoping that February’s box has some “food” items again though (stuff to cook with).
