Santa brought my baby a Cabbage Patch Kid for Christmas! I think I was the same age when I got mine (her name is Anne Ronnie and I totally still have her adoption papers and birth certificate!). It was a special special gift from my Nana, who bought the three cousins (her great-grandchildren, and there are eight of us now!) each a Cabbage Patch Kid for Christmas. When I saw that box wrapped up on Christmas morning, I knew that my special wish had come true! I (obviously) still have Anne Ronnie and my daughter tried to take her with us on this trip, but I knew she would be getting one, so I made her stay at home. My son’s special baby is also a CPK baby. We are fans!
She raised her right hand (we had to work on that, she raised it straight up in the air!) and repeated after me:
I promise to love my Cabbage Patch Kid with all my heart. I promise to be a good and kind parent. I will always remember how special my Cabbage Patch Kid is to me.
It was so adorable – she changed the words to “all the love in my heart.”
She then decided to give her a pretend bath and show off those adorable CPK buns!
