I was pretty delighted to find two perfect shadows, from the included note  I had expected some sort of eye brightener product!  On the left is True Colour Eye Shadow in Goldstone ($30) and on the right is True Colour Eyeshadow in Peachy Keen ($30).IMG_4212

The texture on these shadows is absolutely amazing – pure velvet! As you can see, the Peachy Keen is pretty close to my natural skin color. I’ll use it as a non-harsh highlighter. I’m in love with this coppery gold. It’s super wearable without hunks of glitter or anything gauche! Truly a luxury product. The shadows are super blendable, too!

I was more than pleased with this month’s haul. I haven’t loved a few of the months but this one is perfect for me! May has seen more than its fair share of favorites!

Aaaaand then my daughter used the shadows to make thumbprints on a piece of paper. I stopped her before she got to the hand turkey!

This box I liked more than the last few. I think that they could have made them more personalized to each customer. We paid a good amount of money for the program and there are companies out there who charge a fraction of what they do yet provide much better service. I’m not as happy with this as I thought I would be.

I agree. I think their attitude over the last few boxes (just from other people complaining, asking for different shades, etc) has been well, you got all this product for $29, that’s what you get. They lost out on the opportunity to turn a lot more women into brand evangelists over it. It wouldn’t have been hard to customize at all. Now that it’s summer and I use a lot more self-tanner (and religiously use sunscreen but I’m still much darker) I may go ahead and TRY my medium concealer, but I’m really not a medium! Or someone who would wear orange nail lacquer or whatever colors I got. Most cosmetics colors (like color cosmetics) CAN be used in some shape or form, but not foundation stuff. I’m super happy with the kaleidoscopes though!

BTW I wore these yesterday, I am in the midst of reorganizing and don’t have all my brushes out and don’t necessarily know what’s the best, but I had the best results with the goldstone by patting it on my lids. Brushing it on all the fabulous color was lost. I was probably using the wrong brush but I thought it worthwhile to add while I’m replying!
