Plated is a meal subscription service – you get the ingredients, menus, and cook everything yourself. We really enjoy Plated because it makes restaurant quality meals for us super easy! You can see multiple weeks of Plated menus in advance so I don’t post the weekly menu or anything, but I like to show off what we made. Plated has made a few changes, including becoming a subscription “only” service, but you can turn off automatic delivery and still order exactly what you want (um, I’m just not down with random food!), so basically it’s still the same. Anyone who tells you otherwise has no idea what they’re talking about, because I order mine separately every week. When you sign up for Plated with this link or use code b0c635, you’ll get 2 free plates with your first order. Usually my husband takes the photos – I bet you can tell which one is mine!
I just ordered my meals for this week and the next 3 weeks after that (I always reserve my meals in advance – they totally sell out!). Plated has started offering desserts so I ordered some to test them out for you. (Like they would be bad!)
Tilapia Piccata with Orzo
This was a nice twist on a chicken piccata. Though I would never personally say let’s make fish again, my husband was all like we could make this over and over (even though he’s not fond of capers!).
Szechuan Pork with Green Beans & Rice – Maybe my FAVE Plated ever! This was perfect and we will make this again.
So yummy. Szechuan green beans are my must-order takeout item.
Beef & Butternut Squash Tagine – Warm comfort food with a twist! I love anything with spiced beef and especially cilantro. I loved having the squash all cut up already.
This made a really substantial portion (the potato was giant!). All of our meals were between 640-780 calories a piece. Way way better than takeout, and there was certainly more than enough to eat.
