Yay! A box just for big dogs! True Drool is a subscription for 40+ pound dogs and is $35.95 per month, but only $30.95 per month on a 3 month subscription. As a mom to two 100+ lb chocolate labs, I was very excited to try out this box. I wish I had gotten a video of me bringing the box into the house. Charlie and Libby immediately knew it was for them. I loved the fun intro letter and especially the fact that True Drool donates 10% to rescues and non-profits. You can save $5 on your first box with coupon code TAILWAG445.

With super cute packaging, my favorite thing about this box was that all of the items are all natural and grain free. My dogs have allergies, and we rarely stray from one particular brand of treats we give them for this reason. But, not with True Drool. They both were able to enjoy everything in the box, and no allergy issues!

The EOS Turkey with Sweet Potato Treats ($12) and the Merrick Turducken Treats ($5.59) were a big hit. These two bags lasted for the entire month, usually as a dessert after dinner. They were the perfect size for big dogs. Again, both were all natural and grain free!

IMG_3126 The Big Sky Antler Chew ($10.44) went to our resident bone lover, Libby. Antlers can be pricey and I had held back on buying one because I wasn’t sure how long they last. I’m glad we got to try the Big Sky brand, as it seems these are definitely durable and have held up really well to our active chewer.

I will admit, the Dog Chewz Large Trachea ($5) really grossed me out. But, Charlie loved it and probably would have eaten the entire thing in one sitting if we hadn’t taken it away when it was half gone. This is not something I’d buy on a regular basis, but it must have been really yummy, because Charlie gobbled it up, quite literally.

For the big finish, the Merrick Thanksgiving Day Dinner Sausage Treat ($7 for 2) was Charlie and Libby’s actual Thanksgiving Day dinner. These were on the smaller side for my dogs, and they almost instantly swallowed them. No worries about any allergy issues, with ingredients like Turkey, Oatmeal, Fresh Carrots, Garden Peas, and Fresh Granny Smith Apple, just to name a few.

All in all, the November True Drool Box was a big hit with my two big dogs. I have already recommended this subscription to a few other big dog owners, and I think it’s a fantastic value, primarily because you are getting high quality, all natural treats that would easily cost a lot more at the pet store.

Note from Brandy – I’m super happy to have Amanda on board as a reviewer! Obviously my 14 lb dog would be overwhelmed by such gigantic treats! The value of this box was $40, and I thought that was great for a specialty box like this one – $5 over the cost of the monthly box, but as usual, get dog boxes on a monthly subscription to save more.

Oh ick, I got one of those tracheas in BarkBox. I know my dog will love it but it grosses me out. I should check into this box — my dog has a sensitive stomach and it is good to know about the grain free treats.
