Hi. I have a question about Little Pnuts I’m hoping someone can (honestly) answer. I think this box looks great and really want to subscribe, but… am I doing my math wrong? Is it correct that you pay $75 per quarter to receive $50-$75 worth of toys that I could get a bit cheaper on my own? I’m not being critical- I l really love what they offer- but it doesn’t seem to add up money-wise. Anyone have any insight? Is it possible I just can’t add? Thanks!

Brandy, thanks so much for replying. I love the look of Austin Lloyd! Unfortunately my daughter will be 3 in a few weeks- the age they max out. I actually wrote AL begging them to add an older kids box! Until then, do you have any other high-quality/good value recommendations (we have Citrus Lane)? Also, I think Little Pnuts should slide you a box to review so we can subscribe with confidence after your glowing review! ;)

Did you see my Silly Rhino review the other day? The items are a little different (less toy focused) but I really liked that too (They have a 3-4 year old box). The 4 year old age is tough because the baby toy boxes aren’t as focused on it! I am having the exact same issue with my son’s boxes (he just turned 3 in December). At that age they are a little too young to really be into crafts. I’m also hoping Austin Lloyd will curate a box for the 3-4 years old group. Maybe it’s better to hang tight for a few months with Citrus Lane while they expand? I will say that my daughter (just turned 5) has no issues playing with the toys that come in my son’s boxes so you could just stick with something geared for 3 year olds or at least give it a shot.

    Hi ladies,

I just ran across this thread in search of something new for my children. Ages 3 and 6.

I have been a little pnuts subscriber for over a year now and adore them.

You pay less if you pay up front, which gives you free shipping. Paying monthly, you pay for shipping. @ $15 a shipment. You get $60 plus worth of toys each month, many of which you can not find locally or on a website for less and I have tried. Many months, the value is more than $60.

The shipping is really fast, priority mail. You do not have to email, track or beg to find your box like other subscription services that take weeks. Customer service is wonderful.

They also go up to 6 years and my child play with their little pnuts items every day while others get left behind.

Just so you know, I have never received anything for free from little pnuts, I do not work for them or am related. I am a mom who is proud to have little pnuts provide a service for my children that no subscription service out there has been able to provide. I have tried them all, paid for them and in turn find them to not live up to their promises they make.

Have a great day, I hope this help you to understand them more. Also, they were the first of their kind of service before others tried and failed.

Thanks Jennifer!! They are sending me a box to review. I do try to find new boxes every month to evaluate so I’m excited to try this one out too!

I hope you love them as much as I do. I have learned in my 6 years of parenting, with toys, you get what you pay for. Same goes for subscription services.

The only toys my children truly enjoy have either been provided by Little Pnuts or have been from a brand that Little Pnuts has introduced me to.

As for your comment on books, have you checked out zoobean? They are my childrens other favorite. Quality over quantity wins out every time with my children.

Not to mention both of the services I have mentioned have helped me countless times choosing gifts for my children and I purchased those items from other retailers. They want to help not just make a profit. Says a lot to me and are business I will allow into my children’s lives.

Jennifer, thanks for your excellent response.

While yes, I’d really prefer to get items that are at least slightly above the price of the box, I agree completely about quality. We certainly don’t need quantity around here- I am a former preschool teacher and older mother of an almost 11 year old who has been a wood/European toy enthusiast for many, many years. We are swimming in good stuff.

That being said, I would love for my younger daughter to have some special, high-quality surprises that are just for her! (Big Bro got a bit spoiled in those 7 years of being an only child- sorry, Little One!). Little Pnuts looks like a perfect service to introduce our family to some great new toys and brands. Very thoughtfully curated, which seems to be rare in subscription services.

Brandy, I can’t wait to see your review when you get your Little Pnuts box. I am also going to check out Silly Rhino and Zoobean. Thanks for your honest reviews, they really help!
