I went to the Julep Secret Store!

The secret store opens on the first of the month for Julep Mavens who picked up that month’s Maven nail polish subscription box (I got the February American Beauty). I used my bloomspot voucher and got nail polish remover pads (good for removing nail polish on the go), acetone free remover (essential for use on children), and a bonus tiny lotion packet, along with my Cupid’s mystery box. I was really happy with my deal!

And then I opened the February Boho Glam Box I’d ordered

This is a terrible photo but a great look at the colors

I wanted the orange for E (my son), and the blue for moi. And I thought an extra oxygen (I think it works great as a base coat, I don’t care what they say) and freedom top coat wouldn’t hurt either. No top coat. Sad face. I am not sure if I expected it when I ordered but I was sad when I opened it and it wasn’t there.

Can you find the missing item? That’s right – only one heart. Guess that one’s going to dad so the kids don’t fight over it. Or I could break my heart in two…

The colors are

  • Julianne: Smoky grey blue crème
  • Ingrid: Burnt orange crème

I can’t wait to get this burnt orange on my kid. He’ll love it! I usually just do his toenails, but I may go all out. Yes, I paint his nails. He gets so excited about it. Both of these colors match the latest Gymboree collection extremely well. I sound like a lunatic now.

Sign up for Julep Maven and get your first box for just one cent with code JULEPVIP. It is very easy to skip or cancel and really worth a try for so little. On my penny order I bought the Matte topcoat and got free shipping on my whole order instead of paying the shipping on just the box.

See additional information about Julep Nail Polish subscription box in the directory.

Double sad-face, my polish box is full.

I’d better get cracking on some nail painting with the kids, because my nail box is full!

Uh-Oh. I’m full.

The nail box is a 1.6 liter Really Useful Box (also in pink, blue, and purple – why don’t I have purple??) and redundantly, it’s really useful to store Julep polishes in.

But happy face!

The nails I painted on Sunday are still rocking. I’ll probably redo them tonight but the Oxygen treatment really made a chipless polish for me. Sweet!

How do you store your polish? Do you paint your son’s nails?
