Once again, as a reminder, I’ve been crazy crazy sick. So if I sound funny let’s chalk it up to that and not my general insanity, ok? I got my May Glossybox in recently and luuuurved it. I don’t remember what the theme was, I forgot to take a picture of it.

So let’s look at the pretty magazine instead. Oh right, obviously the theme is “A Year of Beauty” to celebrate GLOSSYBOX USA’s one year anniversary.

I love this little Gatsby Glam spread. I wanted all the accessories, but they would never stick in my super fine hair 🙁

Before we get down to it, let’s talk about JUNE! June GLOSSYBOX is a collaboration with artist Dallas Shaw and will contain a Tarte Lipstick, a Bondi polish, an Oscar de la Renta fragrance sample, and more! PLUS, use coupon code LOVE to get a free full sized ModelCo Eye Shadow with your box. Awesome. I just re-upped my GLOSSYBOX for another 6 months, I love it so much. If you want to learn more about GLOSSYBOX or just want to go ahead and sign up, do it!

What’s inside the May Glossybox?

Well, I guess GLOSSYBOX wanted to make sure that we all knew that these silly coupons were not part of the box. They are useless to me. Bestie stole this box (the actual box part) too. She was wicked excited.

What’s inside the May GLOSSYBOX?

As usual, GLOSSYBOX includes an excellent information card.

My Prime Multi-Purpose Mattifying Moisturizer. I got this once in a Birchbox and didn’t care for it. I gave it to Bestie.

European Wax Center – The exfoliate and Slow It Body Wash. One’s for exfoliating, the other is for slowing hair growth. I wish they had been larger, especially the hair slowing one, so I could have really gotten a good trial out of it to see if it works. Hate shaving.

etre belle Collagen & Aloe Vera Hydro Mask. Ok, I was totally going to do a hilarious photo spread of me using this mask, and then I got sick and totally forgot about it and wouldn’t have been able to keep my head up for that long. You’re just going to have to imagine it.

Does this help your imagination? It would have been totally funny. But seriously, you just open the mask and stick it on your face. It doesn’t say how long for though. I think the Europeans assume everyone knows the perfect amount of time to leave a face mask on for?

AMOREPACIFIC Color Control Cushion Compact. This is a CC cream. It’s probably too dark for my skin but I opened it anyways because I like to try everything and it’s kinda uncool to just take a picture of the outside and say yeah I loved it. I recently got a bunch of AMOREPACIFIC samples in the mail so this was a nice addition to my trials!

Sebastian Professional Volupt Spray. Sooooo excited to get this because it’s good for fine hair. I can’t wait to use it!

Nicka K New York Absolute! Perfume Stick – LUX 369 – Who knows what is actually the name of this product. I kind of hate when companies give their stuff too many names. But I loved this perfume. Perhaps the first floral perfume I’ve ever enjoyed. As you can see, there was a nice little protector cap that for some reason I really appreciated. And I took these photos when I was totally well.

Lux 369 is “Vibrant and radiant, yet soft and feminine. A graceful scent that evokes white floral notes with an underlying refreshing hint of sweet citrus, Lux 369 is flirty, airy and delicate.” Solid perfumes remind me of my nana, at her youthful prime in the Gatsby era, so I thought this was very reminiscent of that.

Should you Splurge?

The value of the perfume alone in this box is $15. the Amore Pacific is around 8, the facemask around 4, and then a few more bits & bobs brings the box value to at least $30. A great savings, fun new things to try, more things I want to try (I would like to get more varieties of that perfume! The “box shot” of the box always looks a tad empty, because the box is really huge, but I always find myself ridiculously pleased about what I got out of my GLOSSYBOX! Which is why I extended my subscription! If you want to learn more about GLOSSYBOX or just want to go ahead and sign up, follow that link to check it out. Don’t forget to use promo code LOVE to get a free full sized ModelCo Eye Shadow with your order!!

I don’t know how they can not tell you how long to keep the mask on! I learned from Lush that you keep regular face masks on till they dry, and after that they don’t really do anything. But nobody has ever told me whether I can just re-wet them and absorb more nutrients or moisturizing whatnots. And what WOULD you do with a paper (?) face mask? Maybe it dries out too?
